Los Angeles plastic surgeons usually perform a mini tummy tuck procedure on people who have subtle excess fat and skin in the lower region on their abdomen. It can also be performed to remove previous surgical scars (such as a C-section). The scars from the procedure are usually much smaller than a traditional tummy tuck scar, and they are well concealed within the bikini line. Additionally, the abdominal muscles can be tightened to improve the lower abdominal bulge. There is only a small percentage of patients that are a good candidate for the mini tummy tuck surgery.
