Plastic Surgeons Use Chin And Cheek Implants To Bring A Greater Balance To A Person’s Face

January 7, 2010

The insertion of a chin implant into one’s chin may take anywhere from thirty minutes to an hour. During this procedure, the cosmetic surgeon will select the proper size and shape of implant that will properly enhance your appearance. Your surgeon will then continue to insert the implant into a pocket that he or she has created over the front of the jawbone. The small incision that is used to create the pocket and to insert the facial implant is typically placed inside the mouth (along the lower lip) or in the skin just under a person’s chin area.
